Amazing rock song from Japan. Those bass lines, the guitar riffs and the vocals, damn this is a pretty good track! Fans of Naruto will recognize this song, but you don't need to have watched it to appreciate how good of a rock song this is.
Ending the work week with this super catchy pop rock from The Vamps and Demi Lovato.

This song is now more than 20 years old, so in my opinion it qualifies as a #ThrowbackThursday track. This song has aged well. It still sounds great. But it does hit different now, knowing that the Chester (their vocalist) lost his battle to depression and anxiety. Makes you really appreciate the lyrics in this song, and all their other songs for that matter.
Why does it feel like night today?
Something in here's not right today.
Why am I so uptight today?
Paranoia's all I got left
I don't know what stressed me first
Or how the pressure was fed
But I know just what it feels like
To have a voice in the back of my head
Like a face that I hold inside
A face that awakes when I close my eyes
A face that watches every time I lie
A face that laughs every time I fall
(And watches everything)
So I know that when it's time to sink or swim
That the face inside is here in me
Right underneath my skin
It's like I'm paranoid lookin' over my back
It's like a whirlwind inside of my head
It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within
It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin

Beautiful song from Thousand Foot Krutch. Love the lyrics on this one. I only heard this song today. What a great find!
They say You're always there, You never leave
Even when we don't believe
And that sounds like love to me
I know I couldn't do the same
And they said that You can see my heart
Then You already know I'm falling apart
That's why I hide here in the dark
So no one has to see my pain
I've never prayed so can we just talk?
Don't wanna put You on the spot,
But can You bring the keys to my heart
And help me find a way.
They make me feel so empty
Their words they cut like knives
You tell me to forgive them
But I'm not sure I'll survive
I'm not sure this is a good time
Or even if You're home
It's a long long way from Your throne
But can You meet me in my room
A place where I feel safe
Don't have to run away
And I can just be me
Can You meet me in my room
A place where I feel strong
A place where I belong
And I can call my own
Won't You meet me, meet me in my room
Where there's no one else allowed but You

Back to the 70s with this wonderful #ThrowbackThursday song from Bread. Gotta say, those lyrics are pretty good too. Maybe this is what emo was in the 70s haha.
Lost and all alone
I always thought that I could make it on my own
Since you left, I hardly make it through the day
My tears get in the way
And I need you back to stay
I wander through the night
And search the world to find the words to make it right
All I want is just the way it used to be
With you here close to me
I've got to make you see
That I'm lost without your love
Life without you isn't worth the trouble of
I'm as helpless as a ship without a wheel
A touch without a feel

I've said in a previous post, the best thing about emo music are the lyrics. Next comes the tone and feel of the song. I'm just a sucker for songs like this one. This one might not be as popular as other songs from the 2000s, but this is a classic emo track for me. There is a rawness here that is missing from a lot of pop music.
