Marianas Trench is back with a new song! This one sounds like something that would have come out of their Masterpiece Theater or Ever After album. It's a return to the sound and creativity that got me hooked on their music. Song preview won't do this song justice, you need to listen to the full track.
But what about all those voices in the night?
Speaking all the things that keep me from a normal life
But everything almost fits together right
But in the end I don't belong inside a normal
(Don't belong inside a normal)
Ordinary life βͺ β« βͺ
Another beautiful song by Marianas Trench... one that you need to listen in full, as the preview cannot even cover how good this track is.
The slow and simple melody
Of tears you cannot keep from me
It's alright if you don't know what you need
Oh, when your heart releases,
You won't fall to pieces
You'll let those old diseases lie
Oh, and your heart releases,
You won't fall to pieces
And your breath comes crashing in
Like perfect porcelain βͺ β« βͺ
Another masterful track from Marianas Trench. This is the last song in their Ever After album. And similar to the title track, this song touches upon other songs in the album. It is like multiple songs in one song. It's very nicely done. You definitely need to listen to this track in full.
And just like the title says, listening to this song after going through the entire album, feels like coming home from a storybook fairy tale. I'll leave you with the ending lyrics from the track...
Once upon a time
This place was beautiful and mine
But now it's just a bottom line
There's no yellow bricks...
And happily...
Ever after we...
Lived the end... βͺ β« βͺ
There's a lot going on in this song that it is a little hard to describe it. If I had to name words, I would say rock, emo, cinematic, epic. You really ought to listen to this song in full. This song touches upon a number of the tracks you will run into when listening to the album. And about that album...
The album tells a story from start to finish. They even structured it in a way where there's no pause between tracks. If you are a fan of pop rock, pop punk, maybe emo pop, I think you'll find a lot to like in this album.
Overall, a great song and a really good album. Below is a preview to the album in case you are interested in hearing it.
Some of the best Marianas Trench songs IMO were from their earlier albums β back when they were still writing emo music. So much raw emotion in this track.
Tear those pictures off the wall
I don't think I will need them all again
I think the problem here is there's nothing wrong
I guess that I can coast along for now
Little bit, little more, There's something missing
I'm missing the point I did before
I'm sorry that I'm always the one to let you down again
And I feel so ashamed
It should have been easy
(I feel so low)
And I want you to know
That I won't let go again
(I feel so low) βͺ β« βͺ
These early Marianas Trench songs are some of the best. Love how Josh Ramsay sings in this song β filled with so much raw emotion.
When your tears are spent on your last pretense
And your tired eyes refuse to close and sleep in your defense
When it's in your spine like you've walked for miles
And the only thing you want is just to be still for a while
And if your heart wears thin I will hold you up
And I will hide you when it gets too much
I'll be right beside you
Nobody will break you βͺ β« βͺ
In my opinion, truly a masterpiece track from Marianas Trench. And this is just the first one in the album. There's also Masterpiece Theatre II and Masterpiece Theatre III.
These Marianas Trench songs from their early albums are some of the best.
This is not the man I hoped to be
And I'm just trying to stop the bleeding
I don't know how to word it
I just started to deserve it
And all my, all my faces are alibis
And me, I'm half the man I wanted to be
This song and the album it belongs to is probably Marianas Trench's best ever album... This song is like four songs in one. You have to listen to the whole track to understand.
